New York, NY - The City College women's volleyball team dropped a three set decision to No.3  seeded John Jay in the quarterfinal round of the 2016 CUNYAC Championship.

Sophomore Camila Franco-Diaz had a team-high six kills and eight digs.  Junior Irishvarsha Lyyadura contributed four kills, eight digs and one block. Senior Veralucia Quispe added five assists and two kills. Junior Tenaya Hawkins recorded 6 assists, while  sophomore Lesly Polanco had eight digs.

For John Jay, Rachel Eng led the Bearcats with 11 kills, 5 aces and 13 digs. Katrina Zapanta posted a match-high 31 assists and seven digs. 

CCNY now ends their season with a 7-22 overall record and finishes sixth in the CUNYAC in 2016.
