Dallas, PA - The City College Women's Basketball team suffered its third straight lost on Sunday, falling to Misericodia University, 70-47.
The Lavender & Black struggled scoring the basketball in the first half. The team shot 31% (9-for-29) from the field in the first half. Misericodia had a 40-23 lead at halftime.
In the second half, Misericodia would out score City College 30-24 to win with a final score of 70-47.
Senior Erika Richards led the team's scoring with 22-points and three rebounds. Debra Chan added eight points off the bench. Senior Alexis Akridge posted four points and seven rebounds. Marissa Olsen and Erica Redwood both added four points and eight rebounds.
Misericodia had three players finished in double digits. Rachel Carmody led the way with 19-points. Justine Seely finished with 14-points and 13-rebounds and Paige Wampole ended with 13-points and 16-rebounds.
Misericodia out shot CCNY in the contest 33% to 25%. The Beavers were 11-for-16 from the free throw line during the game. Misericodia out rebounded City College 72-to-41.
The teams record now drops to 2-6 on the season. CCNY returns to the Nat Holman Gymnasium when they host Ramapo College on Tuesday (Dec. 13) at 6:00 pm.
