New York, NY – The City College women's basketball program suffered its fourth consecutive loss Tuesday evening to the Ramapo College Road Runners, 73-47.
The Road Runner were in control the entire first half. Ramapo shot over 60% from the field in the half ending it with a 44-26 lead
In the second half, the Road Runner's lead jumped to 28-points with under four minutes remaining. Ramapo ended the game out scoring the Beavers 73 to 47.
Senior Erika Richards led the team's scoring with 12-points and four steals. Elizabeth Zullo added 11-points. Senior Alexis Akridge posted eight points and three rebounds. Marissa Olsen finished with nine rebounds and five points.
Ramapo had four players finished in double digits. Kellie Lane led the way with 19-points. Shelby Ringer finished with 12-points, both Jenna Harsh and Tia Solomon ended with 10-points.
Ramapo out shot CCNY in the contest 59% to 29%. The Road Runners bench play a big role, scoring 25-points in the game.
The teams record now drops to 2-7 on the season. CCNY returns to the Nat Holman Gymnasium when they host Yeshiva University on Wednesday (Dec. 30) at 8:00 pm.
