Regis started the match off taking a 5-1 lead. The Beavers used a timeout in hopes of taking an advantage, but the Pride could not be stopped in the first set. City cut the lead to 17-10, but then the Pride went on a 6-0 run to take a huge 23-10 lead. City was able to get some points, but Regis took the first set 25-12.

Regis started on top in the second set as they took a 5-0 lead. This time around, CCNY would be able to get themselves back into it and tied it 17-17. The next couple of points would be a back-and-forth exchange between the two teams. CCNY trailed 23-22 and hoped to keep themselves in the set. Regis recorded a kill and used an attack error by the Beavers to take the second set 25-22.

It would be City that would start with the lead in the third set. With a 8-2 lead, Regis began to chip away at the lead. The third set would be similar to the second set as they exchanged points. The Pride would then turn it around and take the lead in the set. CCNY chipped away at the lead but it would be too late as Regis took the third set 25-20.
