Brooklyn, NY - The City College Men's Volleyball team went 2-1 at the Clinton Hill Classic hosted by St. Joseph's College Brooklyn over the weekend. The Beavers picked up a pair of victories over St. Joseph's College Brooklyn on Saturday and Sunday, but fell to Mount Ida College in three sets on Friday.
In their first game, the Beavers lost 3-0 to Mount Ida College. CCNY dropped all three sets 25-20, 25-20, and 25-18. For the Beavers, sophomore
Sebastjano Aga posted a match-high 17-kills and 6 digs, while
Oleksandr Boychuk chipped in with 27 assists.
In their second game, City College rebounded with a 3-0 win over St. Joseph's College-BK. The scores were 25-11, 25-7, and 25-12.
David Cham posted seven kills, six aces and four digs.
Sebastjano Aga recorded seven kills and five digs.
Oleksandr Boychuk ened with a match-high 18 assists.
In the teams final match of the weekend, the team played St. Joseph's College-BK. They took the sets, 25-11, 25-10 and 25-12.
Sebastjano Aga got 10 digs and four aces in the match.
David Cham had five kills, six aces and five digs.
Oleksandr Boychuk ened with a match-high 21 assists.
The Monroe College Volleyball team is now 2-1 on the season. The men's volleyball team returns to action on Tuesday, January 24, when they travel to Riverdale, NY to take on the College of Mount Saint Vincent at 7:00pm.
