New York, N.Y. – The City College Women's Basketball team fell to the College of Staten Island, 83-60, on Friday. 
 
Alexis Akridge led the way with her sixth double of the season scoring 27 points, 14-rebounds and three steals. Marissa Olsen finished with 10-points and three rebounds. Shakirra Smith added nine-points, four rebounds and two rebounds off the bench.

The Dolphins were in control the entire first half. Staten Island outscored CCNY at the half 57-to-31

In the second half, the Dolphins lead jumped to 34-points with under six minutes remaining in the third quarter. Brooklyn ended the game outscoring the Beavers 80 to 60

With the loss, the team is now 7-11 overall and 3-7 in conference action this year. The City College Women's Basketball team will return to action on Wednesday, January 25th, when they play on the road against John Jay College at 5:00pm.
