Brooklyn, NY – The CCNY women's soccer team had an impressive offensive showing Monday night, defeating Medgar Evers College 12-0 in conference play. Sophomore's Gabrielle Duchaussee and Daniela Grisales-Agudelo had three goals in the win. Grisales-Agudelo and Amy Gomez also added a pair of assists in the match.
The first goal from the Beavers came in the first minute when Duchaussee netted a goal after receiving a pass from Grisales-Agudelo.
Grisales-Agudelo appeared on the stat sheet again for CCNY's second goal in the third minute. A one-touched pass from Amy Gomez between two Medgar Ever defenders, setup Grisales-Agudelo for the goal.
The Lavender & Black touched on another goal in the fifth minute when Leanna Rodriguez connected a pass to Duchaussee, netting her second goal of the frame. Duchaussee would net her third goal in the match and ninth of the season in the seventh minute of the game.
The Beaver's offensive attack didn't' let up, in the 15th minute, Grisales-Agudelo found the back of the net for the second goal of the contest.
Odalis Puma made it 6-0, collecting her third goal of the season off an assist from Gomez.
Tatiana Zuluaga added to the teams scoring barrage in the 26th minute, once again hooking up with Grisales-Agudelo to extend to lead to 7-0.
Grisales-Agudelo stayed red hot, netting her third goal of the contest in the 27th mark on an unassisted goal. She now leads the team with 11 goals this season.
Senior Leanna Rodriguez pitched in on the team's offensive dominates, scoring her first goal of the season in the 32nd minute.
CCNY led the Medgar Evers 9-0 following the first 45 minutes, dominating in nearly every category. The Beavers outshot the Cougars 24-0.
In the 49th minute, freshman Alexandra Barrera put home her first goal of the season, on an assist from classmate Laura Hernandez.
Sophomore Dina Sayd found the back of the net for her second goal of the season in the 61st.minute.
CCNY capped of their blitzkrieg offense in the 67th minute, Freshman Michelle Rodriguez set up Laura Hernandez her first goal of the season.
Sophomore goalkeeper Catherine Langkamp allowed no goals, registering her third shutout of the season.
At the conclusion of the game, CCNY outshot Medgar Ever's 33-0 and held a 3-0 corner kick advantage.
The Beavers next game is on Saturday, Oct. 21st at home against conference foe York College.
