Brooklyn, NY – The City College of New York women's volleyball team fell in straight sets at Brooklyn College Thursday night, 3-0. The Bulldogs controlled all three sets (25-13, 25-21, 25-14) to hand the Beavers their sixth loss in CUNY Athletic Conference play.
Rookie
Yana Shaposhnikova had a team-high 10 kills. Junior
Yasmine Bachtarzi led the Beavers with 10 digs. Senior
Irishvarsha Iyyadurai and sophomore
Dzeneta Harambasiceach had nine digs apiece. Harambasic also had a team-high 14 assists for CCNY.
Brooklyn was led by Michaela Appe's 14 kills and Sarina Rozek's 10 kills. Kate Meltsin had a game-high 16 assists.
CCNY compete next on Friday, Oct. 20 at Rutgers-Newark.
