New York, NY - The City College of New York men's basketball team suffered an 87-49 defeat to Lehman College on Friday night, dropping their first contest in CUNY Athletic Conference play at the Nat Holman Gymnasium.
Freshman
Samuel Williams posted his first double-double of the season, posting 10 points and 10 rebounds. Williams also added a team-high five assists. Junior
James White recorded 13 points and two steals in the contest. Freshman
Ian Javier added a season-high seven points and was four-for-four from the free throw line.
Lehman was led by four players scoring in double-figures. Jean Marcial's led the offense, with a game-high 18 points. Ja-Zhyoun Laing had 13 points and six rebounds, Luis Hernandez added 11 points, six assists, four rebounds and Mylo Mitchell contributed 11 points and four assists.
The Lightning outshot CCNY 62.1%-27.8% from the field and held a 14-24 advantage in the turnover margin.
The Lavender & Black are back in action Tuesday night when they host Baruch College at the Nat Holman Gymnasium for an 8:00 pm tip-off.
