NEW YORK, NY -  Seniors Erika Richards and Alexis Akridge each scored in double figures but it was not enough as Hunter downed the CCNY women's basketball team, 62-40, on Friday evening.

Richards led the Beavers with 14 points, nine rebounds and four steals. Akridge added her ninth double-double of the season with 10 points and 12 rebounds. Senior Marissa Olsen ended with seven points, three rebounds and two steals.

The Beavers trailed Hunter at halftime 27-19. In the second half, Hunter would out score the CCNY 35-21 to win with a final score of 62-40

Richards, Akridge and Olsen were honored prior to the game.  Richards was recognized for recording over 1,693 Points, 232 Rebounds, 196 Assists and 198 Steals in collegiate career. Akridge was acknowledged for totaling over 935 points, 500 Rebounds, 102 Steals in her career and  Olsen was also recognized for joining the exclusive 500+ rebounding club.

The City College Women's Basketball team is now 10-14 overall and owns a 5-10 conference record. The Beavers will play their final regular season game at home Monday night against Medgar Evers College at 5:00pm.
