Bronx, NY - With two runners on base and two outs in the bottom of the ninth inning, CCNY's freshmen Cooper York hit a three-run home run to right field to give the Beavers a 12-9 walk-off win over Lehman College on Sunday afternoon in CUNYAC action.


HOW IT HAPPENED

• Lehman scored a run early in the first inning for the teams first score of the game. 
• After a base hit to left center in the first inning, Stephen Peters scored on an error by the catcher. (1-1)
• Junior Anthony Sautter hit a two-run homer later in the first inning, giving the Beavers a 3-1 lead.
• In the fourth,  an error on the pitcher would allow Adrian Pena to score the teams fourth run. (4-1).
• In the top of the sixth inning, Lehman scored four runs off four hits to take a 5-4 lead.
• Lehman collected two more runs in the seventh off a solo homer and an RBI single.  
• In the bottom of the seventh, CCNY answered back with York's single down the right line to score Pena and Volquez (7-6)
• In the ninth inning, the Lighting responded with two runs on a ground-rule double and an error, giving them a 9-7 lead.
• With two runner on base following a base hit and a walk, Brendan Murphy tied the game for the Beavers with a two-run RBI single (9-9)
• With two outs, Cooper York would nail a three-run homer to right field for the walk off win (12-9).

INSIDE THE NUMBERS

• York went 2-5 in the game, while picking up five RBI's and scoring two runs. Defensively, York assisted on two put outs to second base from right field. 
• With the win, CCNY now extends their win streak to three games. The teams overall record now improves to 4-7 overall and 3-2 in conference play.
