NEW YORK, NY - The CCNY women's basketball team had five players score in double figures, leading to the Beavers' 91-44 victory of the Medgar Evers Cougars Thursday evening.
CCNY dominated the second, third and fourth quarters outscoring Medgar Evers 20-8, 23-14 and 29-8, respectively. CCNY hit 10 three-pointers and 13 free throws while holding a 66-to-47 rebounding advantage.
Junior
Debra Chan had a career night, scoring a new career-high 22 points and matched her career-high in assists totals with six. Chan also recorded five rebounds and two steals.
Freshman
Madison LaSalle added new season-high totals of 19 points, six assists, and four steals in 36 minutes of play. She was joined by classmate
Melanie Torres who had a season-high of nine points, 12 rebounds, five steals and two assists in her second start of the season.
Junior
Ashley Brooks finished the game earning her seventh double-double of the year. Brooks continued her stellar play this season notching 12 points, 21 rebounds, and five assists in the win.

Emily Arias had 12 points, three assists, and two steals. Rookie
Crystal Blair had 10 points and senior
Erica Redwood had seven points in the balanced Beaver effort.
The Beavers open a three-game road swing with two CUNYAC contest and a non-conference game. CCNY first travels to York on Saturday, Jan. 13 followed by a road trip to Trinty Washington on Monday, Jan. 15. The Beavers end their road stance against Lehman College on Jan. 19.
