Ashley Brooks recorded her eighth double-double and
Emily Arias led all scorers as the CCNY women's basketball team defeated Trinity Washington University on Monday, 70-50.
Arias led the scoring for CCNY, with a season-high 20 points on 6-of-11 shooting; all from beyond the arc. The six trifectas is now a season-best for her.
Brooks had her eighth double-double this year, finishing with 10 points and 17 points, along with a season-high five blocks. It is her 11
th double-digit rebounding game of the year.
Junior
Debra Chan had 11 points on a team-high 14 field goal attempts in addition to a season-high eight rebounds. Senior
Erica Redwood supplied 12 points, six rebounds, and four steals in 34 minutes on the floor.
Sophomore
Elizabeth Zullo reached double-figures for the third time this season with 12 points, five assists and three rebounds.
CCNY out-rebounded Trinity 53-43 in the contest and held Trinity to shot 30.5 % from the field.
CCNY returns to CUNY Athletic Conference play at Lehman College on Thursday, in a 1:00 pm tip-off.
