BRONX, NY – The City College of New York women's basketball team was defeated by the Lehman College Lightning on the road Friday afternoon, 85-62. CCNY now stands at 11-6 overall and 5-4 in league play.
The Lightning used a decisive 25-9 third quarter to pull away and hand the Lavender & Black their fourth conference loss of the year. Lehman scored 28 points off CCNY's 29 turnovers. While the Lightning shot 41.6% from the floor, they held the Beavers to 35.8% shooting from the floor and just 30.4 % from beyond the arc.

Ashley Brooks led CCNY, pouring in 15 points and pulling down nine rebounds. Junior
Debra Chan had 14 points and three assists. Freshman
Crystal Blair had nine points and nine rebounds for the Beavers.
Lehman had four players in double figures. Lisa Fields led with 21 points. Ayanna Behagen had 19 points and 11 rebounds. Aliyah Dorsett ended with 19 points while Lynda Fields netted 17.
CCNY returns home hosting the College of Staten Island on Monday. The game tips-off at 5:00 pm.
