NEW YORK, NY – The City College of New York women's basketball team was defeated by the College of Staten Island at the Nat Holman Gymnasium Monday evening, 84-57.
The Beavers' overall record this season now stands at 11-7 and 5-5 in conference play. After Monday game, CCNY is in fourth place in the conference standings.
The Lavender & Black were led by junior
Ashley Brooks' 14 points and nine rebounds. Senior
Erica Redwood tallied 11 points, five boards, and two steals.
Debra Chan had nine points and three assists in 29 minutes of play. Coming off the bench, rookie
Crystal Blair finished with eight points, four rebounds, and one block.
Staten Island had five players in double figures. Senior Christina Pasaturo had 19 points, Angelique Price ended with 14, Samantha Flecker picked up 11 and both Victoria Crea and Diana Todaro each dropped in 10 points.
CCNY is off until Wednesday when the John Jay Bloodhounds come to the Nat Holman Gymnasium.
