BROOKLYN, NY - The CCNY men's basketball team never led in a 74-64 defeat at Brooklyn College in CUNY Athletic Conference action at the West Quad Center.
Junior
James White recorded 20 points for his thirteenth game in double-figures this year, along with six assists. Sophomore
Enesco Hunte added 13 points and 10 rebounds for his first career double-double. Senior
Salvatore Palazzolo finished the night with his fifth double-double of the season with 11 points and 12 rebounds. Freshman
Ian Javier posted five points and five rebounds.
The Bulldogs were led by four players in scoring in double-figures. Niv Konfino and Henry O'Reilly scored 15 points each. Daniel Shulman netted 14, while Ben Batash had 11 points to round out Brooklyn's double-digit scorers.
Brooklyn's largest lead came with 4:37 to play in the first half at 30-8. The Lavender & Black got within nine points with less than 30 seconds to play but it was close as they would get before a Brooklyn free throw made the final margin 74-64.
Brooklyn narrowly outshot CCNY 35.7% - 34.8% but held a 47-44 advantage on the boards.
The Lavender & Black is back in action Saturday afternoon when they travel to Hackettstown, NJ for the 2018 2018 CUNYAC/CSAC Challenge against Centenary University.
