Brooklyn, NY - On Wednesday, the CCNY men's soccer program dropped a conference bout to the Bulldogs of Brooklyn College, 3-1.
Brooklyn's Stewart Bailon scored his first goal of the afternoon in the 18
th minute via an assist from Bokkar Ka.
The Beavers responded in the 24
th minute, with
Nicholas Karkut netting his second strike of the season off an assist from
Edgar Gutierrez.
Brooklyn was able to retake the lead before the end the half. In the final seconds of the period, Ka netted a successful penalty kick to the give the Bulldogs a 2-1 lead heading into halftime.
In the second half, CCNY had eight scoring opportunities with four shots on net. Brooklyn was able to put away the match in the 79
th minute, as Bailon scored the third and final goal for the Bulldogs.
In the match, both CCNY and Brooklyn were tied with 13 shots apiece, while the Beavers had eight shots on goal compared to the Bulldogs seven. CCNY also held a six-to-five advantage in corner kicks.

Christopher Moreno made three saves in net for the Beavers.
CCNY returns to action at home against Hunter College on Saturday, Oct. 13. The game begins at 1:45 pm at Randall's Island Field 10.
