Bronxville, NY - On Friday, the CCNY women's volleyball team came from behind to defeat Sarah Lawrence College in five sets.
The Beavers improve their record this season to 9-10 overall.
The Beavers dropped the first two sets in close decisions, with the Sarah Lawrence earning 25-21 and 27-25 victories. CCNY would take the third set 25-12. The fouth set saw another close decision, but the Lavender & Black pulled out the 25-22 victory before putting the match away with a 15-7 win in the final set.
Junior
Nicole Polanco recorded her second career double-double with 11 kills and 18 digs against the Gryphons. Junior
Kayla Oge recorded a team-high 12 kills, along with seven aces and a match-high four blocks.
Sophomore
Dzeneta Harambasic finished with a season-high 34 assists and eight digs. Classmate
Melanie Torres put up a season-high eight kills, seven digs, and three blocks in the win.
The Beavers will return to the court Tuesday evening, traveling to Brooklyn, NY for a match against St. Joseph College-Brooklyn.
