New York, NY – The CCNY women's soccer team shutout Medgar Evers College on Wednesday by a score of 17-0. The Beavers improve to 7-3 on the season and 3-0 in league play with the win.
Junior's
Gabrielle Duchaussee and
Daniela Grisales-Agudelo led the attack for CCNY with three goals each in the contest. Classmate
Susan Aracena picked up two goals and dished out two assists.
Sophia Mellace and
Ingrid Rosario each totaled five points on the afternoon with two goals and an assist apiece, while
Jessica Pienkowsha added a pair of goals of her own in the game.
Laura Hernandez,
Kimberly Keblish and
Catherine Langkamp all netted a goal each in the contest, marking the first goal of the season for the trio.
Sophomore
Gabrielle Cillibrasi faced no shots in the shutout to improve to 3-1 on the season.
The Beavers play next on Saturday, Oct. 6 against the Dolphins of the College of Staten Island. The game is set to begin at 2:00 p.m.
