Patchogue, N.Y. - With three players scoring in double-figures, including two tallying double-doubles, the CCNY women's basketball team defeated St. Joseph's College-Long Island on Tuesday night, 58-45, on the road.

Ashley Brooks and sophomore
Crystal Blair each recorded double-doubles in the win. Brooks had 12 points, 13 rebounds, three assists, two blocks, and two steals. Blair put up 10 points and pulled down 10 rebounds, along with two steals.

Emily Arias netted 12 points in her first start of the season. Junior
Mara Poch added nine points and three assists.
CCNY was firing in the first quarter going on an 11-2 scoring run to start the period. The Beavers would outscore the Golden Eagles 18-9 in the opening quarter.
CCNY's largest lead of the game came in the third quarter after a basket by Brooks (04:30) put the Beavers up by 26 (42-16).
On the boards, CCNY outrebounded the Golden Eagles 51-to-41.
With the victory, the Lavender & Black improve to 2-2 overall.
