New Haven, Conn. - The CCNY men's basketball team fell on the road Tuesday evening to Albertus Magnus College, 104-72. The Beavers were led by four scorers in double-digits.
Junior
Ty-Ler Banks lead CCNY with a team-high 17 points and five rebounds. Senior
Mike White had 12 points, three assists, and three steals. Junior
Romello Rashad added a season-high 14 points and junior
Isaiah Denard ended with 10 points.
Sophomore
Ian Javier netted nine points and pulled down three rebounds. Sophomore
Athanasios Kamberis had a season-high six points, knocking down two three-pointers off the bench.
Albertus Magnus had four scorers in double-digits led by 18 points from Jahrell Spence. Terry Dawkins added 13 points and eight rebounds off the bench. Jahmerikah Green-You had 12 points and nine rebounds assists, while Ed Popolizio recorded 10 points and five rebounds.
The Beavers shot just 40.3 % from the field in the contest with the Falcons connecting on 51.8 % of their attempts. The home team also held a 53-28 advantage on the boards.
The Beavers heads back to the Upper Westside on Friday, Nov. 30 in their 2018 home opener when they host the defending CUNYAC Championships of the College of Staten Island. Tip-off is set for 7:00 pm.
