Purchase, NY - The CCNY Baseball team fell on the road Tuesday night in single nine-inning game against the Panthers of Purchase College, 9-3.
Brandon Gianikos and
Anthony Cacchione led the Beavers' effort with two hits each.
Edgar Rodriguez,
Jacob Schwartz, and
Trent Alfred each pitched at least one scoreless inning for CCNY while Alfred notched a season-high three strikeouts.
Purchase finished the night totaling 14 hits and nine RBI to score nine runs. Patrick Wallace led the attack on three hits with two RBI.
The Beavers added a run in the bottom of the inning when
Cooper York earned his 16
th RBI of the year with a base hit to right field.
In the ninth inning, Gianikos singled in a run and
Hamley Volquez added his third home run of the season in the game.
Looking ahead, the Beavers return to the road on Thursday for the single game at St. Joseph College-Long Island.
