Yardley, PA - On Saturday, the CCNY women's soccer program fell to Cairn University by a final score of 2-0. The defeat pushes the Beavers to 3-3 overall.
In the 19
th minute, the Highlanders got on the scoreboard when Lauren Costa netted the team's first goal. Cairn doubled their lead a minute later with a goal from Dakota Hitchner.
Junior
Susan Aracena registered a game-high four shots, while both
Gabrielle Duchaussee and
Daniela Grisales-Agudelo each totaled two shots. Freshman
Ingrid Rosario and sophomore
Amy Gomez each recorded one shot in the contest.
Cairn outshot CCNY 19-10 and held a 5-3 corner kick opportunity advantage. Sophomore
Catherine Langkamp made three saves in net for the Beavers.
CCNY's next game is on the road in their conference opener against York College on Wednesday, Sept. 19. Kickoff is set for 4 PM.
