Long Island, NY - On Saturday, the CCNY women's volleyball team split a pair of non-conference matches at a tri-match hosted by St. Joseph College-Long Island.
Match 1: St Joseph's College-LI 3, CCNY 0
The Beavers dropped four-set decision in their opening match on Saturday's to the Golden Bears of St. Joseph College. CCNY took the first frame, 25-17 and in the next three 25-13, 25-9 and 25-23.
Kayla Oge led the attack with a team-high nine kills, two aces, and two blocks.
Nicole Polanco ended with five kills and 15 digs, while
Rachel Ramirez tallied six kills.
Dzeneta Harambasic recorded her first double-double of the season with 22 assist and 15 digs.
Match 2: CCNY 3, York 0
The Beavers rebounded in their second match of the day, shutting out York College in three sets 25-9, 25-8, 25-20.
Nadia Campoverde totaled seven kills and five digs. , while Ramirez notched four kills and four service aces. Polanco had a match-high 11 digs while Harambasic dished out 13 assists.
The Beavers return back home on Sept. 25, when they host John Jay College at 7:00 p.m. at the Nat Holman Gymnasium.
