Jersey City, NJ - In a non-conference match-up, the CCNY women's soccer team fell to New Jersey City University on Sunday, 5-2.
NJCU scored its first goal at the 7:38 mark. Mallensy Vargas tapped in the score in off an assist from freshman Gina Carbonaro.
The Beavers tied the contest with a strike of their own to open the second half. Junior
Susan Aracena scored her third goal of the season by taking advantage of a free kick chance in their offensive zone.
Vargas would regain the lead for the Gothic Knights with two back-to-back goals to push NJCU's lead to 3-1.

Daniela Grisales-Agudelo cut the lead down to one, chipping in a goal off an assist from sophomore
Gabrielle Duchaussee.
NJCU was able to hold on to their lead, netting two goals in the latter moments of the contest to secure a 5-2 victory.
The Beavers had 16 shots and seven on goal in the contest.

Catherine Langkamp had three saves in net for CCNY. Sophomore keeper
Gabrielle Cillibrasi saw 14 minutes of action in goal and finished with two stops.
