New London, Conn.– The CCNY men's basketball team fell to the Connecticut College Camels, 97-55 on Monday.
The Beavers struggled out of the gate, as Connecticut opened the game on an 8-2 run, and earned a 49-29 lead going into halftime.
In the second half, CCNY struggled offensively, shooting 31.0 % from the field. Behind a strong shooting performance from the Camels, Connecticut shot 61.3 % in the half to outscore CCNY 51-26 in the half.
Junior
Ty-Ler Banks led the Beavers with 16 points, while
Romello Rashad tallied 11 points and four rebounds. Junior
Isaiah Denard added seven points, while senior
Mike White posted five points, four assists, and three steals.
The Beavers return to action on Wednesday, Jan. 16 when they visit Lehman College in the Bronx, NY.
