The Beavers outscored Lehman 29-13 in the first quarter, shooting 57.9% (11-of-19) as a team. With 2:34 remaining in the quarter, senior
Debra Chan made history, nailing a shot from beyond the arc to become the 15
th player in program to reach 1000 career points.
The Beavers saw their largest lead of the game in the fourth quarter, as a free throw from freshman
Imani Butts put the team up by 50 points (89-39) with 1:22 remaining in the contest.
Chan led the Beavers s with 28 points, shooting eight-of-nine from three-point-range. Senior
Ashley Brooks registered 14 points and eight rebounds. Butts added 14 points, five rebounds, and two steals off the bench. Sophomore
Crystal Blair had 10 points and six rebounds, while senior
Emily Arias netted nine points.
The Beavers will return to action Saturday, Feb. 16 at 4 p.m. against John Jay College in the First Round of the CUNY Athletic Conference Championship Tournament.
