Brooklyn, NY – The CCNY men's volleyball hit the road Tuesday night and defeated the St. Joseph's College-Brooklyn Bears in three sets. The Beavers improve to 3-1 on the season with the win.
CCNY started the first set on a 10-2 run. The Beavers continued on the momentum, striking down 14 kills in the period while hitting .391 as a team to take the opening set 25-13.
The Beavers got out to a 10-4 lead to start the second frame. CCNY would keep Things rolling, wrapping up the second frame with a 25-16 win.
CCNY took the early advantage in the third set, going up 7-3. The Bears came back, tying the match at nine points apiece. A 10-3 run helped the Beavers jump out to a 19-12 late in the frame and closes things out with a 25-17 win to finish up the match.

Carlos Maldonado Madrid led the way with 11 kills, seven digs, and three aces. Back-to-Back CUNYAC Rookie of the Week
Xhulio Myftari picked up 13 kills and four aces
Hei Chun Chan dished out a match-high 31 assists.
Elijah Parks had four kills, along with three solo blocks while junior
Seth Diaz ended with four kills, four aces, and one solo block.
The Beavers return back to action on Thursday, Feb. 7, hosting Medgar Evers College at 7:00 pm.
