NEW YORK, NY - The City College of New York men's volleyball squad won its fifth straight match, sweeping visiting St. Joseph College - Brooklyn, 3-0, in non-conference action Friday night at the Nat Holman Gymnasium.
CCNY has now won their last six out of seven matched, moving to 10-4 overall.
In the match, the Beavers combined for 44 kills, earning the sweep by a score of 25-17, 25-19 and 25-14.
Freshman
Xhulio Myftari registered a match-high 20 kills, six aces, and two blocks to lead CCNY. Junior
Seth Diaz for a tallied seven kills, finishing the match with a .583 hitting percentage.
Sophomore
Hei Chun Chan piled up a match-high 33 assists and six digs. Classmate
Elijah Parks added nine kills while
Jonathan Liao picked up six digs and two assists.
CCNY will return to CUNY Athletic Conference action on Thursday, March 21 at 7: 00 p.m., traveling to Brooklyn College on the road in Brooklyn,
