West Harrison, NY - Behind a sixth-inning rally, the CCNY baseball team defeated Baruch College on Wednesday, 5-2, securing a series win for the first time since 2010 over the Bearcats.
The Beavers improve to 10-16 overall and elevate their conference record to 5-4.

The Bearcats answered back in the fourth inning as Conor McCabe blasted a solo homer to left center, tying up the game, 1-1.
After a scoreless fifth frame, the Beavers rallied in the sixth, bringing in four runs on four hits to take a 5-1 lead. After junior
Stephen Peters led off the inning with a base hit, junior
Hamley Volquez brought him in on an RBI double to left center. Angress followed with a one-out RBI singled up the middle, plating Volquez. In the next-at, freshman pinch hitter
Jeremy Abreu delivered a two-RBI double to extend CCNY's lead to 5-1.
Baruch managed to score one run in the bottom of the sixth, but CCNY would hold off the Bearcats in the final inning to earn the series win.

Alex Velazquez earned his third win of the season, allowing two runs in six innings. Junior reliever
Christian Barletta earned his third save of the season, tossing one inning.
Seven different Beavers totaled a hit for CCNY.
CCNY travels next to Patchogue, NY on Thursday, Apr. 25. for a non-conference against St. Joseph College - Long Island.
