New Rochelle, NY - The CCNY baseball program enjoyed a two-game doubleheader sweep against the College of Mount Saint Vincent on Sunday in their final home games of the season. The Beavers improve to 12-18 overall.

th career win after the two victories.
Game 1: CCNY 5, CMSV 4
The Dolphins broke out first with a run in the second. Zachary Saunders hit an RBI single to right field, taking an early lead.
In the bottom of the third, the Beavers evened the game up with a run. Senior
Rob Mandich drove in freshman
Sean Riera on an RBI sac fly.
CMSV regained the lead in the top of the fourth, piling on two runs. Saunders plated the first run of the frame on an RBI single.Saranczak scored his second run of the game on a balk to give the Dolphins a 3-1 lead.
Trailing 3-1, the Beavers put together a four-run rally in the bottom of the fourth.
Alex Velazquez scored the first run on Riera's bases-loaded RBI hit by pitch. Junior
Cooper York followed with an RBI hit-by-pitch of his own, tying the game, 3-3. Mandich singled through the left side to drive home
Benjamin Jacquez III for the go-ahead run, 4-3. Riera scored the final run of the inning, putting the Beavers ahead 5-3.
With two-outs and bases-loaded in the top of the seventh, the Dolphins managed to score one run on an RBI walk. A line drive in the next-at eliminated any chance of a comeback as CCNY took game one 5-4.
Freshman
Zach Boccio earned his first career win, in two innings of work, allowing two hits and striking out one. Junior
Christian Barletta earned his fourth save of the season, tying the all-time CCNY saves record.
Game Two: CCNY 6, CMSV 5
The Beavers struck first with a run in the bottom of the first. After Mandich hit a two-out triple, junior Stephen Peter singled him in on an RBI base hit through the left side.
The Dolphins responded quickly, scoring three runs in the top of the second. Dan Blake's RBI two-base hit down the left field line gave CMSV the tying run. Nick Saranczak scored the next run on Tyler Paulino's RBI groundout. Blinstrub drove in Blake on an RBI single for the team's third run, taking a 3-1 lead.
In the third, CCNY cut the lead down to one. With two-outs, Peters singled through the left side once again to plate rookie
Josh Moreno, cutting CMSV's advantage to 3-2.
The Dolphins added two more runs in the fifth inning to extend their lead. With two-outs Saranczak singled up the middle to score Isodoros Bartziokas from second for an unearned run. After moving to second on a wild pitch, Saranczak reached home on Blake's RBI single to left field.
Down three runs, the Lavender & Black came alive in the bottom of the sixth. Peters led the inning off with double to right field. Classmate
Hamley Volquez followed with an RBI single to plate Peters. Following
Chris Moreno's walk and sophomore's
Benjamin Jacquez III's SAC bunt, freshman
Elbin Madera notched his first RBI of the season, on a single to third base. With two-outs and runners on first and third,
Alex Velazquez drove in the tying run on RBI groundout.
With two outs in the bottom of the ninth, Volquez reached first on an error, leading York to reach home for the walk-off win.
On the mound, sophomore
Edgar Rodriguez earned his first collegiate win, tossing 6.0 innings. Classmate
Trent Alfred worked the first three innings, striking out three.
CCNY returns to action tomorrow in their regular-season finale against Lehman College. The Beavers and Lightening are scheduled for a doubleheader beginning at 3:00 pm at Lehman.
