Old Westbury, N.Y. - The CCNY women's soccer program fell in a close non-conference contest on Saturday to The College of Old Westbury, 2-1.
The Panthers opened the scoring in the 20
th of play when Mia Almonte netted the first goal of the match to give Old Westbury a 1-0 lead.
The Beavers bounced back later in the half in the 33

Gabrielle Duchaussee beat out two defenders to score her seventh goal of the season.
In the 65
th minute, the Panthers scored the go-ahead goal as Britney Graham buried the shot to hand Old Westbury a 2-1 victory over the CCNY.
Old Westbury outshot CCNY 19-8 and had a 7-1 advantage in corner kick chances. Duchaussee had seven shots in the contest, landing four on goal to lead the Beavers. Senior Catherine Lampkamp made one seven in net.
The CCNY women's soccer program's next contest will be this Thursday, September 12 at Maritime College. Kickoff is set for 7:00 pm.
