New Haven, Conn. - On Thursday, The City College of New York women's volleyball team fell to Albertus Magnus College, 3-0, in non-conference play.
The Falcons took the first set, 25-14, before pulling out a closely-contested 25-19 second set victory. The Beavers battled back, but Albertus Magnus took the third set, 25-20, to earn the three-set victory.
Senior Nicole Polanco led the Beavers with 11 kills, eight digs, and two aces. Sophomore Nadia Campoverde finished with 11 digs and three kills. Sophomore Onah Han registered 11 digs while junior Dzeneta Harambasic added 13 assists, five aces, and three kills. Rookie Arianna Rivas tied for a match-high two blocks in the match.
The Beavers return to action on Thursday, Sept. 12 when they travel to take on New Jersey City University in non-conference action.
