CCNY responded in the 31st minute of play, as freshman Abed Yamin netted his first goal season to tie the contest.
The Panthers would score two more goals before the half to hold a 3-1 lead heading into halftime.
A timely turnover from by the Panthers three minutes into the second half (48:01) aided freshman Adrian Montalvan to bury a shot from 18' out, cutting Purchase's lead down to one score, 3-2.
The Beavers would come up short on opportunities to tie the contest throughout the rest of the period. Yamin and sophomore Konstanti Mendrinos each had their potential game-tying goals stopped by Purchase's goalkeeper.
The Panthers netted their final goal in the last minute of play to seal the win.
In all, the Beavers were outshot,15-8, in the contest by Purchase. Freshman Roger Saquipay made his fifth consecutive start in goal for CCNY, coming out with one save.
