New York, NY - The City College of New York women's volleyball team closed out the 2021 season on Sunday afternoon, defeating the Yeshiva University Maccabees in straight sets.
The Beavers took the opening set 25-10. CCNY controlled the second frame, grabbing a 25-13 set win, and closed out the afternoon with a 25-14 victory in the final frame.
Freshman Bianka Catral recorded a match-high 13 kills, along with five digs. Freshman Viviana Alatorre finished the day with a match-high 20 assists and four digs. Freshman Natalia Abreu picked up seven kills, five digs, and two service aces. Michelle Hu had a team-high eight digs and four kills. Freshman Anna Plotnick finished with five aces and four digs, while classmate Jafriesy Ovalle had four digs and three aces.
With the victory, the Beavers wrap up the season with a 4-14 overall record.
