New York, NY – On Martin Luther King Jr. Day, The City College of New York women's basketball team fell at home in a CUNY Athletic Conference matchup against John Jay College, 77-41.

Monae Laing made an impact in her debut for the Beavers, finishing with 22 points, 18 rebounds, two assists, and two steals. Freshman
Fatoumata Nantoume added nine points, seven rebounds, and two assists. Freshman
Leondra Craig tallied four points and a season-high 11 rebounds.

Theresa Luna posted season-highs of six points and six rebounds, while
Amelia Ridenour picked up a season-high of two rebounds and two assists.
The Beavers scored a season-high in points (41) and recorded their best rebounding effort with 48 boards in the contest.
Next, the Beavers travel to Brooklyn, NY, to take on the Brooklyn College Bulldogs on Wednesday, Jan. 19, at 5 p.m.
