Mahwah, NJ - The City College of New York men's basketball team fell on the road on Monday night in non-conference action at Ramapo College, 84-54. Junior guard
Yassine Sakhi highlighted the evening, eclipsing 1,000 career points.
With the loss, the Beavers fall to 2-4 overall on the season.
Sakhi led the Beavers with a team-high 14 points and three rebounds.
It was his fifth straight game scoring in double figures. Sakhi entered Monday night's game six points shy of the 1000-point milestone. After tallying four points in the first half, his jumper at the 17:03 mark in the second half brought him to 1,000 career points, becoming the 10th player in program history to reach the milestone.
Sophomore
Jordan Williams played well off the bench, scoring a season 10 points on 3-of-5 shooting and went 2-of-2 from beyond the arc. Senior
Dashaun Galloway posted seven points, seven rebounds, two assists, and three steals.
Freshman
Ricardo Dixon added four points and three rebounds, while
Michael Bowman had four points and two assists. Juniors
Amir Assani and
Nana Oteng finished with six points each.
Next, the Beavers open CUNY Athletic Conference on Saturday, Dec. 3, traveling to take on John Jay College at 3:00 p.m.
