Yaphank, NY - The City College of New York baseball team dropped a non-conference bout to the College of Mount Saint Vincent on Friday evening, 27-8, at the Lasorda Legacy Park in Long Island, NY.
Shortstop
John Creegan led Beavers tallying three hits, two runs, two RBI, and a walk.
Xavier Grobbel and
Victor Murra Schott each had two hits and an RBI for CCNY.
Austin Ortiz and
Stephen "Dodge" Suprun also registered a hit in the game.
The Beavers led 2-1 after the first inning, but the Dolphins scored in every turn at bat, breaking the game open with four runs in the second inning and eight runs in the third.
Next, CCNY returns to action on Sunday, Mar. 27, in a doubleheader against the Baruch College Bearcats in their CUNY Athletic Conference opener. The first pitch is slated for noon at Ohio Field in the Bronx, NY.
