New York, NY - The City College of New York men's soccer team returned to action on Saturday night, playing to a 2-2 stalemate against Pratt Institute. With the draw, the Beavers move to 0-3-1.
Pratt opened as the offensive aggressors to start the match, scoring their first goal in the 14th minute. Two minutes later, the Cannoneers struck again as Taewan Kim netted the goal to hand Pratt an early 2-0 lead.
In the 22nd minute, sophomore
Adrian Montalvan got the Beavers on the board, finding the back of the net off an assist from
Yusef Abdelmegid and
Aliou Ndiaye.
In the second half, junior
Amadou Barry evened the match in the 69th, chipping in a goal off a deflection inside the box.
Sophomore
Mikhael Torres started in goal for the Beavers, making three stops.
Next, CCNY opens conference play on Wednesday, Sept. 28, taking on John Jay College at Randall's Island - Field 74 at 7:00 p.m.
