Danbury, Conn. - The City College of New York men's basketball program closed out 2022 on good, defeating the United States Coast Guard Academy, 75-65, in the consolation game of the WestConn Holiday Tournament on Friday.
With the win, the Beavers even their record to 6-6 overall.
Junior
Yassine Sakhi paced the Beavers with a game-high 24 points, connecting on 11-of-19 shots from the field while adding six rebounds and three assists. Senior
Daniel Piszczatowski poured in 20 points, nine rebounds, and three assists. Senior
Dashaun Galloway posted 11 points, eight rebounds, four assists, four steals, and two blocks.
Sophomore
Marcus Heron finished with a season-high eight points, along with three rebounds and two assists. Sophomore
Bayame Bah added four points and four rebounds. Sophomore
Abdoul Tandia chipped in a season-high five points, two rebounds, a block, and a steal.
Next, the Beavers return to CUNY Athletic Conference play on Tuesday, Jan. 3, welcoming Lehman College to the Nat Holman Gymnasium for a 7:00 p.m. tip-off.
