New York, NY - The City College of New York women's volleyball team defeated Medgar Evers College in straight sets (25-10, 25-5, 25-11) to close out the regular season on Monday Night at the Nat Holman Gymnasium.
Prior to the match, head coach Dalliana Toussaint and the program honored CCNY's three graduating seniors, Leondra Craig, Arianna Rivas, and Michelle Fernandez.
Arianna Rivas capped off the night with eight kills, nine digs, and five aces. Sophomore Fatimah Coppin posted three kills, eight digs, and five aces. Freshman Rosalynda Russo finished with five kills, three digs, and two aces.
Junior Viviana Alatorre dished out a match-high 24 assists and five digs. Sophomore Nila Tom collected six kills, while Leondra Craig had two kills, four aces, and two blocks. Junior Bianka Catral added five kills and seven digs.
Next, the CCNY women's volleyball program will begin postseason play in the 2023 CUNY Athletic Conference Championships. Postseason seedings and matchups will be announced later this week.
