Brooklyn, NY – The City College of New York women's volleyball team bounced back into the win column on Thursday, rolling to a three-set (25-12, 25-13, and 25-10) non-conference victory over Medgar Evers College on the road. The Beavers improve to 5-6 overall.
Junior Bianka Catral led the Beavers with 11 kills, seven aces, and four digs. Junior Arianna Rivas finished with seven digs, a career-high 10 service aces, and six digs. Junior Viviana Alatorre dished out 21 assists, six aces, and two digs.
Freshman Rosalynda Russo collected five kills and two digs, while classmate Michelle Liu tallied ten digs, an assist, and one kill in the victory.
Next, the Beavers return to action on Saturday, Oct. 7, hosting a CUNY Athletic Conference Tri-Match at the Nat Holman Gymnasium. CCNY opens the day by taking on York College at 10:00 a.m. and closes out the day against Baruch College at 2:00 p.m.
