Staten Island, NY - The City College of New York women's track and field program opened the 2023-24 indoor season on Friday, competing at the Seahawk Shootout hosted by Wagner College at the Ocean Breeze Track & Field Athletic Complex.

For the Beavers, freshman Maisha Islam competed in the 1000-meter run, running a time of 3:46.81. In the mile run, freshman Lizbeth Diaz represented CCNY, producing a time of 6:57.33.

Next, the CCNY track & field program returns to competition on Friday, Jan. 5, at the Wagner College Invitational, held at the Ocean Breeze Track & Field Athletic Complex.
