New York, NY - The CCNY men's volleyball team's championship aspirations ended on Thursday, as the Beavers fell to Hunter College in straight sets (25-17, 25-17, 25-12) in the semifinals of the 2023 CUNY Athletic Conference Championships.
Junior Jeffrey Celis led the Beavers with a team-high eight kills and four digs. Freshman Ricky Li finished with four kills. Sophomore Edwin Fierros Gaytan and freshman Angel Gabriel Chabla each tallied a team-high six digs. Freshman David Reyes Galvez dished a team-high 13 assists in the contest,
The Beavers finish the season with a 14-7 overall record, making their third semifinal appearance in the past four seasons.
