Yonkers, NY - The CCNY women's soccer fell in a close non-conference contest to Sarah Lawrence College by a score of 1-0.
After a scoreless first half, CCNY struck first in the contest. In the 55th minute, junior Laura Villatoro found a breakaway pass from classmate Charlotte Foberg and beat out the Gryphons to put the Beavers. ahead 1-0
The Gryphons evened in the 64th when Sarah Lawrence's Katey Beaver stuck a goal to tie the contest. Six minutes later, Beaver netted the eventual game-winner, chipping in a shot at the 69:52 mark.
Sophomore Amelia Cataldo had a fundamental between the pipes, making a career-high 11 saves in the match.
Next, the Beavers take on York College in a non-conference match on Wednesday, Sept. 20. Kickoff is set for 3:00 p.m. at Roy Wilkins Park in Jamaica, NY.
