Bronx, NY - The CCNY men's soccer program opened CUNY Athletic Conference play on Wednesday, falling to Lehman College on the road, 4-0. With the loss, the Beavers fall to 0-5 on the season.
The Lightning struck first in the 21st minute of play. After entering the halftime with a 1-0 lead, Lehman netted three unanswered goals to secure a 4-0 victory.
Sophomore goalkeeper Carlos Garica started in goal for the Beavers, finishing the evening with 11 saves.
Freshman
Kiernan Sullivan tallied two shots, including one shot-on-goal, while sophomore
Aliou Ndiaye had two shot attempts in the contest.
Next, CCNY will host York College in the home opener on Saturday, Sept. 30, at Randall's Island - Field 10 at 6:00 p.m. The program will be celebrating Breast Cancer Awareness Night.
