New York, NY – The City College of New York men's basketball team powered past Brooklyn College, 85-45, Friday evening inside the Nat Holman Gymnasium in CUNY Athletic Conference play.
The Beavers roll to 11-7 overall and 4-3 in league play.
The Beavers offense continued to click on all cylinders, shooting a new season-high 56.6 percent from the field. CCNY also knocked down a season-high 18 free throws in the game and shot 94.7 from the charity stripe.
Senior Yassine Sakhi poured in a game-high 25 points, connecting on 10 of 11 from the field, along with three rebounds and two assists. Sakhi has tallied 1,706 career points and is 31 points shy of becoming CCNY's All-Time Scoring Leader.
Sophomore Ricardo Dixon continued with a double-double streak, finishing with 16 points and 11 rebounds for his ninth straight double-double and his tenth of the season. He also added two blocks and a pair of assists.
Junior Chris Stone tallied a double-double with 12 points and ten assists, to go with six rebounds and eight steals. Junior Jordan Williams had 14 points, knocking down four three-pointers in the contest, along with two rebounds, three assists, and two steals.
Junior Edward Beqiri finished with ten points, six points, and five assists on the win. Junior Elijah Patterson posted six points and ten rebounds, tying his career-high.
