New York, NY - The City College of New York men's basketball team fell at home in their first home game of the New Year, dropping a CUNY Athletic Conference matchup to Baruch College, 71-58, on Friday night at the Nat Holman Gymnasium.
With the loss, the Beavers fall to 8-6 overall and 1-2 in conference play.
Sophomore Ricardo Dixon paced the Beavers with his fifth straight double-double with 15 points and ten rebounds, along with two blocks and two steals. Junior Edward Beqiri posted a double-double with 14 points and 11 rebounds. Junior Chris Stone posted seven points, six rebounds, four assists, and two steals.
Senior Yassine Sakhi finished with seven points and two rebounds. Sophomore Kayson Dinkins posted six points and three rebounds, while junior Jordan Williams added seven points in 20 minutes of play.
The Beavers return to play on Wednesday, Jan. 10, at home against York College at 7:00 p.m.
