New York, NY - The City College of New York women's volleyball team postseason run came to an end, falling to No. 5 Baruhxh College in the First Round of the 2024 CUNY Athletic Conference Championships on Tuesday evening at the Nat Holman Gymnasium.
CCNY took the opening set over the Bearcats, 25-21. Baruch bounced back in the second frame with a 25-19 victory. In the third set, Baruch earned a 25-14 nod. Baruch held off a late rally by CCNY in the final set, pulling out a 25-23 victory to secure the match.
Senior
Viviana Alatorre finished with 22 assists and 12 digs. Freshman
Ivanna Zamora Sanchez notched seven kills and 16 digs. Graduate Student
Michelle Fernandez finished with four kills and 12 digs. Sophomore
Rosalynda Russo had a team-high 28 digs.
Junior
Serena Warner collected a career-high seven blocks, along with five kills. Senior
Bianka Catral finished with five kills, four aces, and nine digs. Freshman
Kejsi Metko added three kills and two digs.
The Beavers concluded the 2024 with a 4-14 overall record.
