New York, NY - The City College of New York men's volleyball team secured a 3-0 over Medgar Evers College at home Thursday evening in CUNY Athletic Conference play. With the victory, the Beavers improve to 4-5 overall and 1-2 in league play.

The Beavers took the match over the Cardinals in straight sets, 25-10, 25-16, 25-16.

Sophomore Prabodh KC led the attack for CCNY, finishing with a match-high 12 kills and three digs. Freshman Alex Abraham registered six kills, four digs, three aces, and two blocks. Junior Edwin Fierros Gaytan dished a match-high 24 assists, five digs, and four aces.

Sophomore Cristian Canela added four kills, three digs, and a pair of blocks, while Antonio Oliveira-Nurse tallied four kills. Freshman Brandon Green finished with four digs, two aces, and a block, while freshman Anirudha Das had three aces and a dig.

Next, the Beavers travel to York College on Saturday, March 3, for a CUNYAC tri-match. The Beavers will take on York at 10:00 a.m., followed by Lehman College at noon.
